Full Job Description
The remaining 0.4 WTE (2 days) will be clinical work in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The work includes participating in antenatal and gynaecology clinics, cover for obstetric and gynaecological emergencies and theatre sessions. The timetable will be structured to meet the specific training needs of the Fellow.
This post is ideal for someone who is interested in Medical Education and it would provide useful clinical experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. A keen interest in undergraduate medical education and an enthusiasm for developing skills in clinical teaching and assessment are essential requirements of the post.
The Trust plays a significant role in medical student teaching for students from City St George's, University of London and Southampton University; and PA students from the University of Surrey. From September 2025 the Trust will also be welcoming Year 2 students from the new University of Surrey Medical School which had its first intake of students in September 2024., Royal Surrey is a compassionate and collaborative acute and community Trust.
