Full Job Description
You will work towards the responsibility for day to day operation of the materials department, performing the relevant stores process assigned including Goods In, material location, PI-counting, kitting, de-kitting, packing, despatch, internal counter service. Responsible for improving and implementing quality control procedures within Stores area when required. To perform physical or administrative tasks involved in shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfilment of products, merchandise, material, parts, supplies and equipment. To check goods received and distribution against purchase order or invoice. Maintain accurate stock levels, record goods, and reject unsatisfactory items. Package and prepare products for final shipment. Prepare and maintain records of merchandise shipped, review customers' orders, examines stocks, and distribute merchandise. Responsibilities
- Working in accordance with the quality process maps to achieve KPI's set for the department.
- Receive and unload goods, check item against relevant paperwork, update information onto the ERP system.
- Allocate goods to appropriate storage area and maintain stock accuracy, undertake cycle counts, investigate stock inaccuracies, resolve issues, and advise the Materials Manager accordingly.
- Pick/pack kits utilising reports from the ERP system, issue items to the relevant production area working to required plan.
- Ensure materials are accurately identified, undamaged, counted, measured, and stored in to and out of their location and record onto the ERP system.
- To comply with quality and environmental management systems (ISO9001, 13485 & 14001) to minimise waste
- Ensure all items despatched include appropriate documentation including certificates and work closely with all areas across the business with relevant supporting paperwork.
- Notify the Materials Manager of any discrepancies between non-conformance order information and paperwork.
- Prepare customer orders and returned goods for packing and despatch, following relevant packing instructions and prepare documentation including labelling weights and measures of goods.
- Ensure material movement issues are recorded using the ERP system keeping relevant data and provide where requested information to internal/external customers.
- To observe and work within the company's safety guidelines, operating relevant machinery (forklift) and equipment safely utilising manual handling processes and all relevant PPE.
Ideally computer literate with some knowledge of Word/Excel/Outlook - Strong English written and oral skills.
