Full Job Description

The Strategy Team is looking to appoint a Senior Strategy Project Manager to lead and manage an organisational transformation programme, ensuring the successful delivery of key strategic and back-office change initiatives in support of Skills for Care's strategy. This role will be instrumental in driving organisational change and strengthening our operating model to maximise our impact for the Adult Social Care sector.

The Senior Strategy Project Manager will be responsible for leading the implementation phase of our transformation programme, translating high-level design into structured, actionable work packages and ensuring they are effectively delivered. You will coordinate and oversee the full lifecycle of projects within the programme, working across multiple functions to embed sustainable change. Bringing excellent strategic thinking, strong facilitation skills, and a balance of diplomacy and challenge, you will play a pivotal role in delivering an improved, future-fit operating model.

Your role extends beyond project management; it's about driving complex transformation and embedding new ways of working. You will work across multiple functions, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, overcoming challenges, and adapting to an evolving market context.

Central to your role will be defining projects with precision. With a high degree of financial acumen, you'll craft compelling business cases that justify investment and clarify paths to success, analysing benefits, costs, and risks.

Your ability to engage and influence stakeholders will be crucial. Working closely with senior leadership, internal teams, and external partners, you'll ensure alignment, consensus, and understanding.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced programme or project manager with first-hand experience in delivering organisational change and operating model transformation to play a key role in helping to shape the next phase of Skills for Care's development.

The post is home-based, with occasional travel and flexible working available., We want all applicants to be able to fully participate in our selection processes. We welcome requests for adjustments to our recruitment and selection processes from applicants with disabilities, impairments, or health conditions, and will always consider support available in the recruitment process.
