Full Job Description
We are looking to appoint an Assistant Engineer to join the Council's Streetscene Unit. Duties will include the design and supervision of municipal engineering schemes and improvements, including highway, public realm, drainage and general revenue works.
You'll work closely with other teams within the Unit and across the Council to achieve targets and programmes, whilst improving quality of service and cost effectiveness.
It is essential you have a Degree or a Higher National Diploma in the field of Civil Engineering, with appropriate experience, or an equivalent relevant qualification.
It is essential you have experience of supervising work carried out under contract and of Design Office in Municipal and/or Civil Engineering. You must also be in possession of a current Driving Licence.
You must be computer literate and have the ability to work unsupervised and prioritise workload while keeping to deadlines., Disability Confident
