Full Job Description
To test (electrically, mechanically and functionally), service and repair equipment in house this includes Assistive Technology Equipment (both fixed and portable)
To safely use a range of test equipment (including electrical test equipment and load testing weights) in an appropriate manner and in accordance with training provided and manufacturers guidance.
To adhere to and follow risk assessments and safe systems of working and to work with the Manager to review.
The installation of all types of Assistive Technology Equipment, including those with fixed installations.
To record the results and outcomes of any test, service, repair, delivery or collection in both paper and electronic format as directed.
To advise and communicate with Line Manager in the most appropriate and timely manner, to ensure the needs of the partners are met.?
Experience testing and repairing assistive technology or similar equipment.
Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical testing procedures.
Awareness of and commitment to safe working practices and dynamic risk assessments.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to record and report accurately.
Proven experience using and maintaining test tools and safety equipment.
