Your Role and What You'll Be Doing Working with a direct report, this individual will be a qualified accountant responsible for the preparation of month end IFRS balances, and be a key part of the year-end audit and statutory report and accounts preparation process. The individual will have good working knowledge of IFRS accounting and will be required to make recommendations and provide input on the Group's key accounting estimates and judgements. Ultimately, this individual will be central to the successful operation of the Group financial accounting function. What You'll Be Doing

  • Responsibility for the work and progression of your direct report, including their professional development, study support and the support of their ongoing work load.
  • Act as Business Partner for IM Holdings Limited, ensuring robust cost allocation, variance analysis, and financial control through regular liaison with senior stakeholders.
  • Prepare Group and subsidiary statutory financial statements with the help of Assistant Financial Accountants.
  • Draft technical accounting papers to inform stakeholders of accounting implications for strategic decisions.
  • Manage audits of Group subsidiaries and assist with the Group audit, maintaining strong relationships with auditors.
  • Prepare month-end accrued income balances, valuing high-value matters, and explaining movements to stakeholders.
  • Produce dilapidations, expected credit loss, and negligence provisions, ensuring accuracy with Credit Control and Facilities teams.
  • Oversee the monthly IFRS 16 process, including property and vehicle calculations, budget preparation, and communication with the Property and FP&A teams., Our responsible business programmes are fundamental to who we are and our purpose.   • You will be ACA/ACCA qualified with relevant post qualification experience
  • Have an in depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards
  • You will have the ability to work to very tight deadlines
  • Ability to build relationships both within teams and with wider stakeholders across the business
  • Ability to influence others and persuade others to their way of thinking and drive process change
  • Experience in preparation of statutory finance statements and involvement in year-end audits would be desirable, although not essential to the role.
  • Ideally, you might have previous knowledge of the legal sector, but this isn't essential.
