Full Job Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Bexley to assist with the appointment of a Senior Auditor, on a 2-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration. Rate of Pay: £190.25 - £249.00 per Day Hours Per Week :14.25,
- The Senior Auditor will co-ordinate with officers of the Council to ensure that audits are completed within required timeframes.
- The Senior Auditor will ensure that audits are completed to appropriate standards, audit fieldwork and testing is adequately recorded, and findings and recommendations adequately supported by sufficient evidence.
- Develop and encourage clear channels of two-way communication with client throughout the conduct of audit engagements.
- Contribute to the discussions of findings with Heads of Service, Directors, and agree Management Action Plans for the implementation of recommendations with them.
- Report significant risk or governance issues arising from the audits undertaken.
Studying for or have achieved the Certified Internal Auditor or equivalent with the Institute of Internal Auditors; OR - Studying for a qualification from a professional accountancy body recognised by the CCAB (ICAEW, ICAS, ICAI, ACCA, CIPFA, CIMA) or achieved level 1; OR
- Full membership of the Association of Accounting Technicians or AAT Level 3 Diploma
- Relevant CIPFA Diploma
