Full Job Description
Bloomsbury are looking to hire a Royalty Migration Analyst to help migrate our existing royalties' system. The role requires the individual to check and verify royalty balances have imported accurately. Tasks will include, but not limited to, comparing opening balances and royalty calculations, identifying route cause of issues, end-to-end functional testing, supporting the Royalty Migration Manager and project team. This role is a 9-month fixed term contract. This role reports into the Royalty Migration Manager and will work closely with Bloomsbury's Royalties, Contracts, Editorial and Finance teams. The role
- Data integrity: including royalty rules, advances, cumulative sales, opening balances and retentions
- Ownership of accuracy and suitability of all relevant data
- Compare royalty calculations and identify route cause of any discrepancies
- Presentation of processes and controls taken to ensure data accuracy to line manager
- Identify data cleansing requirements: this may be to cleanse data in live system, or identify rules where data can be corrected on import
- Ad-hoc tasks to ensure the project success as and when required
Highly numerate, must enjoy working numbers and figures - Strong attention to detail
- Fast and accurate whilst working with complex rules and calculations
- Strong excel skills, particularly advanced use of pivot tables and lookups
- Ability to work under own initiative with adherence to tight deadlines
- Excellent organisational skills Desirable
- Royalties experience, ideally in trade or academic publishing
- Familiarity with royalty systems, Biblio and Vista KEA preferred
- Experience of data processing using Microsoft product suite including Excel and Powerquery
- Knowledge of author contracts
- Understanding of Withholding Tax and Added Tax Rules

Salary Pay Range: £45,000 to £49,000 per annum dependent on experience The role is based at our London office 50 Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3DP, on a hybrid-working pattern of 2 days office based / 3 days home based.
