Full Job Description
Use Pathology and Trust wide IT systems daily ensuring that records are kept in good order.
Be able to undertake audit and have a full understanding of document control which will contribute to the department maintaining laboratory standards to ISO 15189:2022.
Be able to take note/minutes all at laboratory meetings., Exercise judgement when dealing with enquiries regarding histopathology sample outcomes from medical, scientific and administrative staff face to face, by telephone or email to resolve problems and provide answers to the service users whilst maintaining a professional and courteous manner. Escalate when necessary. Chase outstanding reports as necessary.

Job overview
This role is to provide a comprehensive and professional secretarial service to the Histopathology Department based in the ARC Building at the RJAH Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust.
You will be expected to answer enquiries from consultants and other service users in a prompt and polite manner and be able to organise and prioritise own workload.
There are two positions available. One post is for 37.5 hours and the second for 32 hours. To be worked between the hours of 09.00 - 17.00 hours.
