Environmental Health Officer - Business Compliance

We're looking to recruit two EHOs to deliver the Councils food hygiene and health & safety service, but this position offers you much more in the way of career growth opportunities. South Derbyshire is one of the fastest growing areas in the country and we've made sure that our local food and drink sector has grown with us. Collectively the food businesses in South Derbyshire have been recognised for receiving the best food hygiene ratings in the country. By providing a balance of enforcement and business support, these positions will be critical in keeping these standards up.


We've developed a big ambition to turn these good business relationships into ways of generating extra income. Through our numerous Primary Authority agreements, we are providing additional services to our clients which gives this role an exciting extra dimension. This position will enable you to get involved with the continued growth and expansion of these services as well as maintaining our core focus on protecting public health.


The small team play an active role in an evolving range of projects to support improving public health outcomes, and have been shortlisted in the LGC Awards for our partnership working.


We are looking for a flexible and creative person with excellent communication skills committed to continuous improvement and partnership working. These positions offer an excellent career development opportunity as well as the chance to make a big impact.


We offer flexible working options and our offices are based in Swadlincote, in the heart of the glorious National Forest. The position offers excellent development and training opportunities within a friendly and supportive working environment.
