Full Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for an already established agricultural operator to support our teams based in Harpenden. Ensuring safe and effective operations across both our commercial areas and the field trials on site, enabling us to continue supporting science.

The role would suit someone who has good knowledge and looking for the next steps in their career. Experience operating modern farm machinery in a field trial environment would be desirable.

The successful candidate will:
Be expected to understand basic health and safety
Have good IT skills.
Have the ability to think outside the box and share new ideas
As a research farm, be able to ensure accurate record keeping and follow strict protocols., Disability Confident

Rothamsted Research is a leading scientific research institute, with farm sites which including Harpenden and Suffolk.
The post is full time 37 hours per week, initially for a 3 year fixed term period up until the 1st July 2027, with option to extend.
The role offers a salary up to £26,573 dependent on experience.
Interview Dates: 7th, 8th, & 9th May 2025
