Full Job Description
We are looking for a Graduate Arboriculturist to be based in either Reading or Brighton, joining our 2025 Graduate Programme. As part of a growing team within the water sector, you will play a pivotal role in contributing to significant projects both locally and nationally, from day one. We provide clear career progression along with development opportunities to help you succeed in the industry. This is a field-based position with opportunities for office-based work as needed. You will undertake client site visits, planning and undertaking survey tasks, visual tree inspection and tree condition surveys, collating and analysing field survey data and producing high quality environmental reports/statements. Take a look at our Water business line here:- Water (stantec.com), and check out some of the projects you could be contributing to: Homes England appoints Stantec to deliver new homes at Lighthorne Heath
At Stantec, we value your potential over past experience. Along with your bachelor's degree in Arboriculture or qualification in Forestry, Countryside Management, Forest Management and Woodland Ecology, we'd love to receive your application if you are:-
- A Thinker: Evaluating options by understanding context and risks, navigating ambiguity and putting forward your thoughts and ideas.
- A Striver: exhibiting ownership, consistently delivering on tasks and objectives. You'll be motivated and proactive in your work, having the desire to make a real difference.
- A Planner: Organising and managing your own activities, dealing effectively with multiple priorities with a structured approach.
- An Adapter: Able to remain calm in new situations, comfortably switching between a variety of dynamic and exciting tasks.
- A Multi-Tasker: Thinking about more than one task at a time, while still having an eye for detail. Please note, we ask our graduates to come into the office 4 days per week, to ensure that you receive sufficient time with your team and receive the appropriate level of support.
- A competitive salary
- Private medical insurance
- A range of benefits, including holiday buy and sell, group income protection and life assurance
- Permanent employment contract to demonstrate our commitment to your long-term career at Stantec
- Professional progression plan, supporting you to gain professional chartership
- A supportive and collaborative team environment and Early Careers peer group and wider ERG network (see more on our ERGs here: Stantec Employee Resource Groups)
