Full Job Description

We have an opportunity for you. Senior SEN Officer plays a key role in ensuring overview of the role outcomes.
Duties include
This is temporary role to assist the Service Manager and leadership team to fulfil a crucial role in leading complex case work and associated tasks, including line management of staff. In addition the post holder would contribute to all aspects of the statutory assessment process for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities with. We are looking for someone who can be part of the management team leading a group of skilled and dedicated SEN professionals.
What you will bring to the role
The post demands a highly motivated individual who is committed to improving outcomes for children and young people with SEN and with proven leadership qualities. The ability to meet deadlines and to work in a multi-agency context are important. You will need in depth knowledge of statutory guidelines and relevant legislation, in particular the 2015 SEND Code of Practice. You will also need excellent communication skills and the ability to collect, analyse, interpret a range of information for use by others. You will have the ability to work with challenging and complex issues while maintaining a supportive and professional outlook at all times.
