Full Job Description

The site is in the London Borough of Brent and The Project Coordinator will consult with the community to determine future uses of the building and will convey this to the architect who will provide an understanding on the building's condition to help to develop a costed major refurbishment plan. Following the Resilience project capital funds will be sought for this refurbishment., The role involves a governance review,

  • Working with other professionals
  • Attending steering committee and board of trustees meetings
  • Consulting with different groups from a multi-ethnic and very diverse local community to gain an understanding of the condition of the building
  • Identifying potential new uses for the site
  • Recruiting and training volunteers
  • Undertaking basic administration and report writing when required, Experience of the heritage sector, leading on procurement of consultants for the Options Appraisal and Evaluation of the project so that it is compliant with
  • Heritage Fund guidelines and delivered in accordance with the Brief.

    Experience in establishing strong relationship with community-based organisations in a diverse multi-ethnic, multi-lingual borough in accordance with the brief
  • Knowledge of buildings, working with architects, surveyors, other professionals and undertaking procurement
  • Experience of delivering training in heritage projects, recruiting and training volunteers
  • Experience of organising a review of governance to enable the charity to undertake a capital project
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills including strong social media and IT skills.

    Our organisation is looking to appoint a Project Coordinator to manage a National Heritage Lottery Fund Resilience and Engagement project.
