At the heart of Caerphilly High Street, the Kings Arms is in a prime position-surrounded by shops, buzzing with foot traffic, and just a stone's throw from the famous Caerphilly Castle, a major tourist magnet. And with Cardiff just down the road, we're in the mix of it all! The Kings sits among some well-known competitors like the Amber Tavern and Wetherspoons, but what sets us apart? We're the go-to for sports and have a great reputation for being the local late-night spot at the weekends, pulling in locals, shoppers, and weekend revellers looking for a great time. Inside, we're a one-bar operation with a slightly raised area that can be sectioned off, leading to a small outdoor space-perfect for different setups. We're all about the sports too, with multiple screens showing Sky Sports, making us a hub for game-day excitement. And there's still room to grow-building up links with pool and darts teams could boost our midweek scene. But here's where you come in. We're looking for a hands-on General Manager to take the Kings Arms to the next level. There are untapped opportunities waiting to be explored, from driving bookings and fine-tuning entertainment to perfecting our food and drink offers. Speaking of food, our Dark Kitchen concept alongside our main menu is proving popular, so a solid understanding of food would be a huge plus. This isn't a sit-back-and-watch job-it's a real opportunity for someone who thrives on community engagement, knows how to create a buzzing atmosphere, and isn't afraid to put in the graft for some quick wins. You'll need to be a bit of a chameleon-whether it's keeping the regulars happy, being a sports guru, making entertainment work for the bottom line, or ensuring every pint and plate that leaves the bar is top quality.
