Do you want to work in a school that is at the heart of a vibrant, diverse community?
If so, then we want to hear from you!
Here is an extract from our most recent OFSTED report in January 2024:
Air Balloon Hill Primary School is a friendly, nurturing and welcoming school. The school has created an atmosphere where 'everyone can achieve, everyone can learn and everyone belongs'. There is a culture of support and kindness to others, which all at the school model well. The school has high expectations for how pupils behave. Pupils meet these expectations and understand, appreciate and respect difference. They report, 'In this school it doesn't matter what you look like or your culture, we are one big family.' There are strong relationships between pupils and staff.
Air Balloon Hill Primary School is seeking to appoint enthusiastic, motivated and resilient Learning Support Assistants to join our supportive and committed team. The successful candidates will be working in classrooms across the school with children of all ages and with a variety of SEND needs. The roles will also include opportunities to deliver evidence based interventions 1:1 or to small groups of pupils and a programme of emotional literacy interventions. We are looking for staff who are able to build positive relationships with pupils and have experience of working with children with a variety of needs.
The successful candidates will be well organised, have strong communication skills and will join a hard-working, committed team of supportive professionals. They will be able to demonstrate initiative, be flexible and will have a commitment to raising standards. The successful candidate will also have a range of effective, positive behaviour management skills. We can offer the successful candidate experience working in a large vibrant and inclusive school with experienced, skilled staff and a supportive pastoral team.
The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
