Full Job Description

We need a talented engagement officer, passionate about community-powered change and supporting local people to take positive action for nature. This role forms part of a landscape-scale project in the Gwaun Valley area of Pembrokeshire, funded by the Moondance Foundation, working to improve woodland connectivity whilst generating action at a community level. We know that if nature is to be restored at scale, we need many more people on nature's side.

We are looking for someone who is highly personable and passionate, and who is comfortable building positive relationships with diverse audiences. You are organised, motivated, and comfortable working under your own initiative. You will work as part of a wider team to deliver project objectives within the timeframe, as well as forming part of the Trust's Team Wilder movement.

In the job description we have listed essential and desirable experience and skills. You will be supported by the wider WTSWW team, which includes reserve staff, conservation staff, and engagement and communication officers.

We are committed to putting equality, diversity and inclusion at the heart of The Wildlife Trusts, to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to experience the joy of wildlife in their daily lives.

For further details and to download the application form go to: Wilder Engagement Officer (Moondance Project) | The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales

Salary: £19,588 (£24,485 pro rata). Fixed-term (1 year - potential for a further year, please see job description)
