You are a dedicated and enthusiastic individual with a passion for delivering high-quality play experiences to children and young people. You possess a relevant Play Work qualification (NVQ / Cache Level 2 or above) and have knowledge of safeguarding procedures, as well as experience working with children and young people, including those with complex needs. You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, are able to work independently and as part of a team, and are committed to promoting equality and safeguarding.
Your role as a Play Worker involves supporting the management and delivery of play activities and services in playgrounds and parks across the borough. You will supervise children and young people, support the development of engaging programs, maintain records, organize facility maintenance, and assist with promotion and fundraising efforts. Additionally, you will participate in personal development and training activities while ensuring health, safety, and equal opportunity protocols are followed.
