Full Job Description
Therapist, matrons Ward Managers.
The successful candidate is required to work full time-37.5hrs Monday to Friday and will be included in the Acute Managers on call cover, training will be provided. The post covers services that are spread across the city. If you are a dynamic occupational Therapist who is committed to the role of Occupational therapy the acute mental health setting this will be the post for you.

If you answered yes to all of these questions, then you may be interested in applying for the role to provide professional and clinical leadership to occupational therapists who work in integrated inpatient ward teams. The focus of the role will be holding a complex caseload and delivering clinical Occupational Therapy alongside band 5 and band 6 OTs where appropriate. To work closely with multi professional colleagues particularly nursing colleagues to develop and embed the integrated clinical model; in particular to enhance opportunities for the delivery of occupational therapy with a focus on achieving a therapeutic environment, to support recovery and effective discharge planning and improving physical health.

As part of the selection process you may be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, however all cases of criminal record history are dealt with on a case by case basis.
Please note, if applicable for your role you will be required to cover the cost of your DBS certificate. This will be deducted from your salary over 3 months. You will also be required to sign up to the DBS Update Service before commencement with the Trust. The Trust will reimburse this. You will be contractually obliged to maintain your subscription.
All successful applicants will be required to complete the Trust's induction programme. The Fundamental (Statutory and Mandatory) training will be in an e-learning format. You will be required to complete training modules online (approx. 9-14 hours depending on post) by the end of your second week with us.
