Full Job Description

The Core CAMHS team support young people who are experiencing moderate to severe mental health needs, including psychological and emotional distress. The team are multi-disciplinary, including mental health practitioner with a range of core professions, psychiatrists and psychologists as well as trainee ACP's. The Core team works closely with colleagues across the CAMHS service.
This is a unique opportunity to lead and support change within a team that is currently undergoing transformation. Alongside the clinical leadership and service management you will lead service development, working with enthusiastic, experienced and skilled practitioners. The role requires a values-led practitioner, with strong operational management and leadership skills. You will work closely with colleagues in the management team to lead clinically led service wide quality improvement and provide a psychologically safe environment for staff to enable them to deliver the best quality care., The role will require you to lead your people and effectively communicate, being able to judge a situation and support your staff and management colleagues. You will work to ensure your teams are motivated, engaged and resourced effectively whilst supporting the strategic goals of the organisation and the objectives of your teams.
You will set performance targets and continually review progress by creating action plans to improve performance, finding solutions to problems and develop and drive continuous improvement strategies.
The post holder will provide leadership, managerial and supervisory responsibility for a group of practitioners working as a multidisciplinary team providing specialist child and adolescent mental health services.
Key partnerships include adult mental health services, learning disability services, social care, education, consultation to Primary care colleagues, other providers of support within the Thrive Framework across the district.

A demonstratable proven track record of operational management and delivering strong results through a team in a leadership role is essential. You will also have the ability to challenge decisions and behaviours to ensure consistency in healthcare delivery to our service users.
