Full Job Description

This is a varied role involving helping to prepare boats, ensuring all supplies and equipment are prepared and ready for our sailing and outdoor adventure trips. You will help keep the site tidy, and stores well-kept and stocked as required and support our land-based activities during the trips, such as afternoon rounders games and setting-up BBQs.,

  • Pre-trip preparation (kit & supplies)
  • Trip support including on-land activities
  • Post-trip unpacking & cleaning
  • Provide operational and administrative support to wider team when required

Are you passionate about helping young people?
  • Do you thrive in busy and buzzing environments and enjoy working as part of a close-knit team.
  • Do you have a flexible and adaptable approach to working, and a can-do attitude?
  • A fun, rewarding and different way to spend your summer, if you're someone who loves mucking in and being part of a team.

We value equality, diversity, and inclusion, oppose prejudice, and are committed to being an anti-racist organisation. We strive to be more representative of all young people who have had a cancer diagnosis in the UK and believe diversity amongst the Trust team is key to delivering inclusive experiences for all., The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust is a national charity that takes young people aged 8-24 sailing and on outdoor adventures to inspire them to believe in a brighter future living through and beyond cancer. Cancer can have a big impact on a young person's mental wellbeing. For many young people, simply picking up where they left off before their diagnosis isn't possible. That is why when treatment ends, our work begins. We believe every young person should feel accepted, independent, and optimistic living through and beyond cancer. Through sailing and outdoor adventure, young people have fun, gain a new sense of purpose and self-worth, rediscover independence, and feel optimism for the future. They realise what they are capable of again - physically, mentally, and socially - and stop feeling like 'the only one'. They can believe in a brighter future.

  • 23 days basic annual leave a year plus all Bank Holidays (typically 8 days) (Pro-rata for part time / seasonal roles)
  • Access to professional mental health supervision.
  • Vouchers for a free annual eye test at Specsavers.
  • Reward Gateway - discounts on shopping, entertainment, holidays, and more.
  • Musto branded staff kit & supplier discounts.
