Full Job Description
This is a full time, permanent role working 37.5 hours per week at the Assessment Centre in Lichfield. What you'll be doing
- conducting clinical work, including medical assessments (approximately 30% of time but this may increase when required) for officer and soldier candidates
- motivating, training, supporting and managing your close-knit team of medical officers to get the best out of everyone
- working closely with external specialists, such as cardiologists, where appropriate and working directly with Army colleagues and senior medical officers in Army training establishments
- taking responsibility for team resourcing and responding to clinical complaints quickly and effectively
- deputising for the chief medical officer and deputy chief medical officer when required
a fully GMC qualified medical practitioner with licence to practise - excellent leadership, managerial and delegation skills
- IT literacy and experience with Microsoft programmes
- commercial experience, awareness and an innovative thinker
- being able to work effectively and efficiently to tight deadlines is essential
- occupational medicine experience is desirable.
