Full Job Description
We are looking for a Booking Office Manager with excellent communication skills, organisational skills and enthusiasm to lead and support services across both the Birmingham Children's and Birmingham Women's hospital sites.
This is an exciting role which would be ideal for someone wishing to develop operational management experience and leadership skills. The post holder, alongside other Booking Office Manager colleagues, will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and efficient running of the Central scheduling team, as well as supporting the delivery of key performance targets. Effective communication with Divisional administrative and Clinical colleagues is essential.
You will play a key role in the development of an expanding team, and with the implementation and stabilisation of BWCs new EPR system.
Interviews will be held on Thursday 3rd April 2025., The post-holder will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the Central Booking Office Team in collaboration with the Central Booking management team.
The post-holder will assist the Service manager in the development and implementation of patient focused processes, policies and procedures, which support the Trust in the delivery of scheduled pathways within agreed access targets.
The post holder will provide effective leadership of the Central booking team to deliver a highly efficient support service to the Trust.
They will work in collaborative manner with clinicians, managers and colleagues providing an effective and efficient administrative and outpatient scheduling service.
They will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the staff and the service and will also be responsible for the development and delivery of training programmes for the administration and booking & scheduling staff ensuring that staff are proficient in the application of the trust's Access Policy and the use of IT systems which support the delivery of elective outpatient care.
