Full Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a Relief Cook/Catering Assistant (permanent) within the Trust Hotel Service's Team. This post involves shift work including late/early between the hours of 07.30 am - 6.30 pm. This is to support the catering team in the eating disorder kitchen and coffee shops . Applicants should be highly motivated, customer focused, reliable, flexible and willing to work at short notice and have the ability to work alone and as part of a team. Experience is essential and the ability to demonstrate good culinary skills and knowledge, cash handling and associated paperwork.
Knowledge is required in cleaning duties and use of chemicals and equipment are essential as you will be working in a demanding environment. Preparing, cooking and serving of meals in line with Hygiene Codes of Practice and legislation with particular attention to quantities (portion control), quality and the appearance of meals, assisting with maintaining the highest possible standard of hygiene and health and safety in line with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point, Assisting with menu planning, Hotel Services are part of the Estates and Facilities Management Directorate and are responsible for Cleaning, Catering, Laundry & Linen, Portering, Reception (main Receptions), Transport and Pest Control trust wide to provide a clean, safe, supportive environment in which patients can recuperate.
Hotel Services is also credited with 'Hospitality Assured', a quality standard licensed by the Institute of Hospitality. We are a customer led and service orientated team., TEWV encourages and supports all staff to be vaccinated as this remains the best line of defence against COVID19.
