There's an exciting opportunity at Emerson for an Inside Sales Engineer! We're seeking dedicated professionals, with a passion for impactful teamwork and out-of-the-box problem-solving in the technology-driven world of Control Valve solutions. This role can be based from either of our Stockport, Leicester or Aberdeen site, where we operate a hybrid working model of 4 days a week on site, 1 day working from home. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Customer Inquiry Analysis & Proposal Development : Carefully analyse customer inquiries to understand their specific needs. Develop precise and thoughtful proposals that align with those requirements, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Strategic Collaboration : Work closely with Field Sales and Account Management to streamline sales strategies and customer engagements. Your role in these partnerships will be crucial for delivering cohesive and effective solutions.
  • Order Accuracy & Management : Focus on the meticulous management of proposals and orders, ensuring every detail is correct and every process is followed to maintain the integrity and reliability of our sales operations.
  • Relationship Support : Support the development of customer relationships through thoughtful communication and reliable follow-ups. Your contributions will help build a foundation of trust and respect with our clients.
  • Who You Are: You keep in touch with customers. You build the customer relationships. You prepare content for communication that is impactful. You create a plan and outline for various audiences. You make new connections and build relationships in other areas and teams. You consult diverse resources and ask more questions. You use more problem-solving tools. For This Role, You Will Need:
  • CRM & Order Management Systems : Comfort with CRM systems like Oracle, or an openness to learning them, is important for efficiently managing customer information and orders.
  • Product Knowledge : The willingness and technical interest to learn about our product offerings is required. We provide comprehensive training and resources to ensure you can confidently guide our customers.
  • Clear Technical Communication : The ability to convey technical information in a clear, concise manner is key from the start. You'll need to balance technical accuracy with simplicity to ensure our solutions are both effective and understandable.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Prioritize the needs and experiences of our customers in your work, aiming to provide solutions that meet their specific requirements with care and precision.
  • Attention to Detail : Emphasize accuracy and thoroughness in managing proposals and orders, ensuring that every piece of information is correct, and every process step is followed.
  • Team Integration : Value the strength of teamwork, contributing your ideas and efforts in a way that complements and enhances our collective goals.
