About the role
- To monitor all students in the assigned year group, both academically and with behavioural and pastoral issues
- Work closely with the Head of Year, the SENCo and senior leaders on intervention strategies, targeting students for intervention and other issues which may present a barrier to learning
- To utilise BromCom in order to track and intervene with internal truants, students who are consistently late for lessons or who attend poorly overall.
- To have emphasis on intervention and student tracking throughout the day via the C and R system
- Supervise the start of the day, break and lunchtime
- To supervise students prior to formal examinations
- Support sanctions by contacting parents to inform them of suspensions and covering the IER/removal rooms and detentions
- Support SLT/Head of Year at all readmission meetings
- Respond to calls for support in lessons ROLE 1 Maternity Cover - 37 hours a week - Term time - Fixed term - starting April 2025 until May 2026 ROLE 2 Maternity Cover - 37 hours a week - Term time - Fixed Term - starting May 2025 until June 2026 Who we are looking for:
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Good keyboard skills and knowledge of relevant IT packages
- Experience of working with relevant age groups within a learning environment.
- Able to use basic IT including computer, audio, video equipment and photocopier.
- Ability to provide necessary personal care to children.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Ability to relate well to children Salary & Benefits
