Clarendon Academy is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly skilled Teacher of Mathematics to join its vibrant team, starting September 2025. This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced teacher or ECT, who is passionate about helping all pupils to achieve excellence. We are a thriving co-educational, non-denominational secondary school and sixth form, educating young people between the ages of 11 and 18. Located in the bustling town of Trowbridge, Wiltshire, we pride ourselves on being a centre of excellence where young, enthusiastic children enter in Year 7 and leave us at the end of Year 13 as fully rounded young adults. Candidates must able to teach across the full age and ability range, up to A Level is desirable, and will be a team player happy to collaborate and share ideas with other teachers within the Maths Department. • Can plan and deliver lessons and sequences of lessons to the highest standard that ensure real learning takes place and students make superior progress;
• Is able to raise attainment and challenge students to achieve their best;
• Has a commitment to extra-curricular activities;
• Is aware of current initiatives in Mathematics;
• Is an effective team member who can contribute positively to the work in the Maths Department and our school;
• Has a positive, cheerful outlook with a good sense of humour;
• Is able to forge good relationships with students and staff;
• Is able to work hard and remain calm under pressure;
• Has a desire to work within the Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) structure.
