This is an exciting time to join United Living on our Graduate Programme as the business continues to grow and we have a significant order book of secured future projects. We are looking for a Graduate Innovation Engineer to join our central services team, who support and work closely with all our business pillars across the group. You will be passionate about supporting United Living's Carbon Net Zero targets, and interested in the use of novel and innovative technologies across our sectors (Telecoms, New Homes, Property Services and Infrastructure). Some of your key tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking market research and delivering viable options for innovation across the business.
- Project management and delivery of R&D projects - including designing trials and demonstration opportunities on client sites.
- Analysing project requirements, executing and managing new project initiatives.
- Drafting proposals for research and development project funding and supporting work winning activities.
- Horizon scanning the industry, for emerging trends and technologies the business could benefit from.
- Attending supply chain & SME engagements, liaising with clients and customers. Our graduate programme lasts for two years, and you will have a tailored development pathway aligned to your discipline. You will attend virtual and in-person events across the two years to enable you to develop and hone your business and leadership skills, in addition to your technical skills through working towards professional accreditation. You will also join our wider population on activities such as our annual innovation challenge and volunteering and STEM engagement activities, and have access to a professional mentor to aid your technical development and a buddy who can help answering any questions you have when you are settling into your role.
- Achieved, or on track to graduate in Summer 2025 with, a minimum 2.2 Bachelor's degree in a mechanical, civil, chemical, construction engineering or project management discipline.
- Available to start work from April 2025, or in September 2025.
- Ability to travel to other offices throughout the UK to meet clients and stakeholders.
- Good organisation and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- The motivation and dedication to successfully complete your development programme.
