Streetworks Administrator

Industry: Civil Engineering

Location: Newport, Isle of Wight

Hours: 40 hours per week

Days: Monday - Friday

Duration: 3-6 months initially ( may be temp to perm for the right candidate)

Duties:

Processing and monitoring applications for work permits from contractors and companies for the road network,
Process and administer traffic orders,
Updating and maintaining permit scheme database and website with street works activities,
Processing and recording payments for all chargeable activities,
Assist in the preparation of traffic management plans and reports,
Ensuring compliance to statutory regulations and minimising disruption to the network.

Experience:

Must have a strong administrative background with excellent attention to detail and good knowledge of the island.
Previous highways experience is an advantage but training will be given.
Must have a good level of computer literacy and the ability to learn new systems.
Must have a good level of initiative and be able to prioritise workload to deadlines.
Must have good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team within a fast paced environment.

Salary: £13.50 per hour worked
