Here at AXA Commercial, we're seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Property Technical Risk Manager to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you'll provide essential technical leadership and guidance to our commercial business, in the areas of risk management, loss prevention techniques, and the implementation of consistent best practice standards. Your focus will be on technical excellence in property risk management and fire protection engineering upskilling and auditing our Business Resilience Manager (BRM) team to enhance their capabilities in identifying hazards and adopting effective risk management strategies. You'll play a key role in recognising emerging risks and trends, working diligently to mitigate potential losses for our clients and ensuring the application of technical standards that align with AXA's commitment to excellence. You'll engage with external stakeholders and regulators, fostering strong relationships that reinforce our position as a leader in the insurance sector. - Lead technical development and training for the property business resilience team on complex risk assessments.
- Lead the risk management engagement with AXA Commercial largest and most complex property risk exposures and portfolios.
- Collaborate with Underwriting, Pricing & Portfolio (UPP), Claims, Underwriting, and Senior Management to provide technical support and strategic guidance on Property Risk Management.
- Represent AXA Insurance at external working groups and committees, overseeing BRM Business Resilience team involvement.
- Provide technical guidance on customer exposure risks and revised strategies in response to legislation and emerging trends.
- Engage with third-party service providers to ensure quality service delivery and resolve service level, develop proposition and investigate and resolve complaints.
- Engage and work alongside AXA India property risk engineering personnel to ensure alignment with risk management standards and strategy.
- Manage three fire protection risk engineers, focusing on their daily operations and professional development.
- Promote continuous improvement of technical knowledge within the Business Resilience team through audits and discussions.
- Engage in external meetings to represent AXA's interests with property risk management.

- Significant experience in insurance risk surveying within the general insurer commercial sector having specialist knowledge across various industries, including Manufacturing, Real Estate, Construction, Storage and Logistics, Leisure and Residential, and Motor Trade -preferred.
- CFPA (Europe) Diploma in Fire Safety Management -preferred.
- Level 3 Award in Inspection & Commissioning of Commercial Fire Sprinkler Systems per LPC Rules and BS EN 12845 standards -preferred.
- Significant knowledge across security risk management including BS EN 50131 and PD 6662 -preferred.
- Knowledge of and influence with bodies such as Fire Protection Association (The FPA), National Security Inspectorate (NSI), Security Systems and Alarms Inspection Board (SSAIB) and British Standards Institution (BSi) -preferred.
- NEBOSH General Certificate -preferred.
- Certificate of the Business Continuity Institute (CBCI) -preferred.
- Previous Line Management of people - preferred.
- ACII - preferred. As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
