Job Description

Paraplanner
Northampton
Monday - Friday - Hybrid working model after probation

Established in 1906, MHA Caves Wealth is a fully independent integrated financial advice, investment management, and stockbroking firm, and the wealth management division of MHA, one of the UK's leading accountancy, tax, and business advice groups.

We advise on pensions, investments (including onshore and offshore bonds, ISAs, and structured products), protection, and tax planning (including trusts, BR, EIS, and VCTs). We also offer our own model portfolio solution and bespoke discretionary management services, through a team of in-house Investment Managers. Our clients include charities, trusts, and companies, in addition to private clients and their families. We pride ourselves on providing a personal, tailored service and building longstanding relationships with our clients.

Our client base is expanding rapidly and so is our team. Our expansion offers opportunity for progression within the firm, which is something that has always been important to us. We have a strong track record of encouraging staff development and supporting progression.

MHA Caves Wealth offers a friendly and supportive working environment and the Company's track record of long-term staff retention speaks for itself.

Main Duties

  • Researching potential new arrangements, as well as assessing suitability of existing arrangements, running cashflow analysis, and writing suitability reports.

Skills/Experience Required

  • Level 4 Diploma (CII) and 2+ years' experience Paraplanning.
  • Diligent, analytical, with a good eye for detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work both individually and as part of a team.
  • Excellent IT skills, including use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of industry software such as cash flow modelling, investment platforms, and back-office systems.

We believe that finding the right person for the role goes beyond qualifications and experience - we are looking for someone who will fit in with our team and have a positive impact on the firm.

What MHA Caves Wealth has to Offer

  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Pension scheme with 5% employer contribution
  • Career progression opportunities
  • Two paid study leave days per exam and study support
  • Flexible/hybrid working (following successful probationary period)
  • Company socials/events
  • Health and wellbeing support
  • Cash plan
  • Income Protection

Salary will, of course, be dependent upon experience and qualifications.

Our application form takes just a few minutes to complete and includes some diversity questions. MHA is a committed member of Access Accountancy and as such, we track our diversity stats and actively work to improve on these, year on year, looking at new ways to promote our roles to the widest audience. Any data collected is fully anonymised before sharing with any external parties, as per our Data Protection Policy and is not visible to hiring managers, or used in any way during the selection process.
