Pensions Officer Data Team Job Description
Due to an internal promotion we have a rare opportunity to join the Data & Employer Governance team within the Pensions Section at East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
Do you have previous experience of administration of the Local Government Pension Scheme?
Are you confident in building rapport with customers, have the ability to work on your own initiative and solve problems?
Can you identify trends in data sets and coach and support others?
If so, come and join our Data & Employer Governance team. Help support the scheme employers and ensure the fund's data is correct and compliant with the requirements of GDPR and the Pension Regulator.
The team has a very varied workload and the important work that they do supports the whole section. The team produces and cleanses the member data for the Scheme Valuation and the Government Actuary and ensures that Annual Benefit statements are issued before the statutory deadline.
The successful candidate will:
- Enjoy a challenge and be determined to make a difference to the section.
- Be organised, and resilient.
- Be comfortable using excel to work with large data sets.
- Will proactively look to improve efficiency of services.
The pensions section supports blended working and is committed to providing flexibility wherever possible to help employees balance their home and work commitments. This includes employees being able to combine office working with working remotely.
