Full Job Description

As our Electrical Installation Trainer, you will be at the forefront of shaping the next generation of electricians and electrical engineers. You'll deliver high-quality training across a range of electrical installation qualifications, from apprenticeships to technical diplomas and industry-recognised certifications. With a perfect blend of practical hands-on instruction and theoretical expertise, you'll give our learners the skills they need to excel in the ever-evolving electrical sector. You'll also bring energy and enthusiasm to every lesson, crafting dynamic training sessions that meet industry standards and ignite our students' passion for the subject. By assessing their progress through practical tasks, written assignments, and real-world workplace observations, you'll help them develop the technical know-how, safety awareness, and professional attitude they need to succeed. Your role goes beyond teaching - you'll also create and adapt learning materials to ensure every student can access and succeed in their studies. You'll maintain a safe, well-equipped workshop environment, always keeping up with the latest tools and technologies. You'll also collaborate closely with employers to provide invaluable on-the-job training that supports apprentices in their career progression. This is a great opportunity to utilise your industry skills in a rewarding role that offers excellent benefits, including generous annual leave allowance and pension contributions.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and experienced professional who's passionate about both electrical installations and teaching. If you've got industry qualifications, like an NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds, along with hands-on experience in installations, maintenance, or testing, you could be a perfect fit for the role. While a teaching qualification (such as a PGCE or Cert Ed) or assessor qualifications are a plus, they're not essential. What really matters is your practical knowledge and your ability to ignite that same passion in your students. We're eager to support you if you'd like to work towards a teaching qualification in the role. You'll need great communication skills, a knack for creating engaging lessons, and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment where students of all backgrounds can thrive. You should be proactive in keeping up with industry trends and eager to bring real-world relevance into the classroom. If you're looking to make a difference and shape the future of electrical professionals, we'd love to hear from you! Required

  • Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installations
  • 18th Edition qualification
  • Assessor Awards (or willingness to work towards)

We offer substantial annual leave entitlement (Up to 55 days per year including bank and public holidays)
  • Teachers' Pension Scheme
  • We invest in our people through funded CPD opportunities, regular staff development training and paid volunteering days
