Full Job Description
The London Borough of Harrow is seeking a Programme & Marketing Manager to establish a programme for Harrow Arts Centre that delivers high-quality, affordable, and popular arts activities where all Harrow communities feel welcome and see themselves represented. This role involves leading the marketing of Harrow Arts Centre and Headstone Manor & Museum, promoting them as professional arts venues, important heritage sites, community arts and learning resources, and private function venues. The aim is to achieve the highest possible usage and solid reputation for both venues. Additionally, the manager will implement a broad marketing strategy that is responsive to the local community and ensures marketing is well-placed, appropriate, and engaging for Harrow's diverse populations. By ensuring well-attended programmes, a strong market profile, and high customer awareness, this role is essential for the financial success of Harrow Arts Centre and Headstone Manor & Museum. About you
- A strong strategic approach to marketing and communications including demonstrable experience implementing strategies for marketing / sales / communications and of evaluating their progress and impact
- Experience of professional programming of an arts centre or cultural venue to meet the needs of diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of marketing methods, best practice in customer service, audience development, audience consultation and market research methods
- Experience of co-ordinating the production of promotional material for an arts centre and heritage site or cultural venue including copy writing and editing
- High level of written and verbal communication skills for dealing with a wide variety of people and working with diverse communities.
- Experience of using the internet, social media and new technology methods for promotion and marketing
- Experience of meeting tight deadlines and prioritising workloads along with demonstrable skills in successful event/project planning.
- Demonstrate an active interest in the arts and heritage.
