Full Job Description

We have an opportunity for a highly motivated individual, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service to join the library service. The post is an average of 17.75 hrs per week over 2 weeks, and based at Stanley Library. Week 1 Friday 9:15am - 5:15pm Saturday 9:45am - 1:15pm Week 2 Monday 9:15am - 5:15pm Tuesday 9:15am - 5:15pm Thursday 9:15am 7:15pm You will be responsible for providing a high standard of customer service that exceeds customer expectations and enhances our library service profile by contributing to the delivery of a comprehensive events programme. You will have:

  • a positive and flexible approach

    excellent interpersonal skills
  • previous experience in a customer facing environment
  • a good standard of ICT proficiency, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office software programmes and web-based packages
  • a calm approach when dealing with complex and stressful situations
  • the ability to engage and interact appropriately with both adults and children
  • the ability to encourage and motivate customers to participate in activities which enhances the customer experience., a positive and flexible approach
