Full Job Description
** Ideally Manchester based with candidates also considered for Birmingham or Leeds **
Do you want to have an impact and join a business where you can make the difference?
Do you enjoy working as part of an enthusiastic, passionate, and collaborative team?
Join our Learning & Development Team
Softcat's L&D team sits within a wider Human Resources department consisting of HR Services, HR Business Partners, Reward, Recruitment, Diversity & Inclusion and Employee Engagement. The purpose of the L&D team is to enable Softcat's success through learning by inspiring a culture of curiosity, growth, and continuous development. The L&D team plays an influential part in our business, ensuring that Softcat succeeds through our people.
Success. The Softcat Way.
There's a uniqueness to Softcat – what we do, how we do it and why we do it. That's because we help customers to use technology to succeed, by putting our employees first. We give everyone the chance to step up and show how much they can achieve. We succeed when all our people succeed.
Become a pivotal part of the L&D team
This is an exciting time to join our sales L&D team. We are redefining how we develop sales capabilities, building upon our great foundations. We are looking at how we can continue to improve and deliver the very best enablement for our sales teams.
We are on a mission to enhance the capability of our sales teams, enabling them to unlock their potential and achieve high performance. If you're a passionate, impact-focused, driven L&D professional who shares that mission, keep reading.
As a people professional, you will know the environment you work in has a big impact on your success. It doesn't get much better than a growing business whose strategy is built and driven by culture, endorsement and enthusiasm from senior leadership about capability development, and a vibrant workforce hungry for development.
As a Learning & Development Consultant, you'll be responsible for:
- Stakeholder Management: Identifying capability needs, priorities, and goals; providing upskilling solutions and managing stakeholder expectations
- Programme Management: Overseeing upskilling initiatives from design to results; applying modern learning methods for impact
- Coaching and Facilitation: Conducting 1-to-1 and group coaching in various settings; supporting the L&D team as needed
- Partner Management: Building and maintaining key partner relationships
- Strategic Projects: Representing L&D in strategic initiatives; driving objectives, solutions, and processes for successful outcomes
We'd love you to have:
- Proven L&D experience in designing and delivering impactful learning, ideally in a sales environment
- Strong collaboration skills to work with leadership to align L&D initiatives with business goals and priorities
- Ability to measure learning impact using analytics, driving improvement and practical learner-centred solutions
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, delivering training both in-person and virtually
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively, ensuring timely, high-quality outcomes with a performance focus
- Willingness to travel when needed, for stakeholder engagement and facilitation across the UK
For more information, please refer to the attached job description.
Work in a way that works for you
We recognise that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too. In this role, we can offer the following flexible working patterns:
- Hybrid working – 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home
- Working flexible hours - flexing the times you start and finish during the day
- Flexibility around school pick up and drop offs
Working with us
Wherever you work, we want you to experience the freedom and autonomy to realise your potential. You will feel supported by a team that celebrates individuality, encourages different perspectives, and embraces every background.
