Full Job Description

The Role: As a Workforce Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in co-designing, implementing, and delivering customer-focused services that align with our People Strategy. You will work collaboratively with colleagues, stakeholders, and partners to achieve outcomes and contribute to strategic planning and delivery.,

  • Lead and advocate for Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) initiatives within the County Council.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including statutory partners, service providers, and internal and external customers.
  • Research, design, and deliver best-in-practice diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Development team to promote and develop training programmes on Diversity, Inclusion, and Wellbeing.
  • Provide expert advice on EDI legislation and embed these activities into all people policies and procedures.
  • Manage and deliver projects and activities, ensuring they align with our service delivery plan.
  • Analyse data and trends to inform decisions and recommend solutions for service improvement.

    CIPD Level 5 or Level 5 EDI qualified, or equivalent experience in a relevant EDI environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of EDI legislation and best practices.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to varied audiences.
  • Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Ability to influence and gain credibility at all levels.
