Full Job Description
Responsible for handling a variety of third party and public liability claims, working collaboratively with various internal and external stakeholders to produce high-quality cost packs. Ensuring timely settlement of claims and conducting thorough investigations into public liability cases.,
- Collate documentation and reconcile costs to produce high-quality cost packs, supporting the recovery efforts for both the company and its clients in third-party claims.
- Collaborate with operational and commercial teams to obtain outstanding documentation and resolve queries promptly.
- Investigate the validity and liability stance of public liability claims and respond to claimants in a timely manner.
- Identify third-party insurance details through the Motor Insurance Database.
- Liaise with relevant police forces to obtain culprit details or incident reports where required, ensuring payment for records is processed accordingly.
- Negotiate with insurers to agree settlements and communicate with the finance team to ensure recoveries are received and allocated correctly.
- Produce and distribute regular reports to reflect claims progress at a high level, aiding decision-making.
- Perform additional duties as required by the role to support the overall objectives of the team and organisation.
Strong communicator - Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritise and work under pressure, excellent communication skills, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills, competent IT skills; particularly Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, data validation, graphs, VLOOKUP), Word, SharePoint, Outlook.
