We would also consider Worcester, Liverpool or Manchester. We are looking for a motivated individual to support us with achieving and maintaining a profitable, well balanced portfolio and deliver efficient and compliant underwriting whilst meeting the customer service expectations of the business. You will provide technical underwriting expertise and guidance to less experienced underwriting staff. Responsibilities

• Plan and process own work in a way that will assist the team to meet its customer service targets.
• Ensure all customers are treated fairly in accordance with the regulatory expectations but also in accordance with the authority within the UMA.
• Maintaining the highest level of customer engagement, assist with various client correspondence and general enquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
• Undertake end to end handling of straightforward and complex policies and client queries within Underwriting Authority.
• Meet and greet visiting customers.
• May attend Boat Shows and similar events as a representative of GJW Direct.
• Cover general office duties including but not limited to, post send/receive and record on customer files, ad hoc deliveries, ordering office supplies, raising invoicing on Coupa (training given) as required.
• At all times ensure all matters are dealt with in accordance with Underwriting procedures manual and adhering to telephone script.
• Assist in maintaining a balanced and high quality portfolio, optimising the use of information gathered.
• Undertake other duties as directed within the level of the job function.
• Help drive forward good Conduct for the business to deliver the best outcomes for customers / policyholders.
• Understand all appropriate lines of escalation and the responsibilities of the Product Conduct Risk Strategy Group (PCRSG), Underwriting & Claims Sub Committee (UCSC) , ExCo and Board for Conduct Risk.
