Full Job Description
To coach as part of the Academy Coaching Department in a full-time capacity. To lead the U13-U14 age group and enable the players to achieve maximum development both individually and collectively whilst aligning with the Academy's purpose and coaching philosophy, ensuring the Academy training programme and playing style is implemented. The Academy Coach is also required to work effectively with parents/guardians of the players in order to create strong working relationships and togetherness. The Academy Coach may also be required to work with other Academy age groups as and when required., Make decisions in the best interests of player development and in line with the Academy's purpose and coaching philosophy that blends developing performance and potential to support long term development.
Plan and lead an elite level of coaching for the Club's U13-U14 age group whilst working within the Club's coaching philosophy, training programme and style of play, keeping detailed records of training sessions.
Form positive relationships with players and motivate them towards achieving their potential, ensuring their well-being and holistic development.
Lead the U13-U14 inter-disciplinary team and work with the Head of Academy Football Development and Lead Phase Coach on player progression, training and match opportunities.
Work closely with various Academy departments and using an inter-disciplinary approach, help to prepare, deliver and record the individual learning plans and player reviews.
Lead the design and implementation of IDPs for U13-U14 players and provide feedback to players and their families in line with our IDP processes and timelines.
Maintain up to date records of training sessions and game time on Club systems as required by the Premier League Youth Development Rules.
Attend all relevant CPD events, contribute to the Club style of play and ensure that Academy principles and training methodologies are delivered consistently and in line with the Academy coaching philosophy.
Work with the Head of Academy Football Development to develop self in line with Academy coach competency framework and development action plan.
Review players as requested by the recruitment team for potential Academy recruitment.
Help to ensure the Academy is continually achieving the standards required to retain its category status within the EPPP guidelines.
Any other relevant tasks and duties as directed by senior Academy or Football Department management.
To ensure that any concerns you observe, or are raised with you in your role, are shared with the Safeguarding Team through appropriate channels.
