Full Job Description
Oxford City Council has an opportunity for a methodical and conscientious individual to play a key role as an Options Officer in the Housing Needs Team.
As an experienced housing professional, you will deliver excellent customer service, with a can-do and solution focussed attitude, whilst working to tight deadlines. You will provide housing advice and guidance to prevent homelessness, help people find suitable homes and deal with tenancy sustainment problems.
You will also be required to visit applicants at home to complete housing options assessments, carrying out enquiries under part VII of the Housing Act 1996, and applying legislation, case law and code of guidance in making decisions regarding duties owed to applicants presenting as homeless.
Our team is responsible for the complete housing needs service and if you have the energy and enthusiasm to make a contribution then we'd love to hear from you.
