Full Job Description
The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role. Creative Practice and Galleries Technical Team is looking for 4 students to assist us on the upcoming prestigious Art School Degree Show 2025 and to support the Team with daily workshop and artist studio activities. Duties include:
- Responding to student queries in the workspaces and signposting technical staff as appropriate
- Assisting technical staff in their installation of creative outputs including artworks, products, and craft
- Recognising health and safety hazards and reporting to technical staff
- Assisting technical staff with manual handling of materials used for show build.
- Supporting technical staff in the workspaces with setting up the equipment required
- Preparation of exhibition spaces for Student exhibits
- Prioritizing safe keeping of students Artworks

This role is only open to current Manchester Met Students who meet the following requirements - - Have a desire to work within Galleries and associated creative industries
- Understand ethical concerns when handling artwork
- Apply physical dexterity and care when handling artwork and associated materials
- Have excellent communication skills
- Have an awareness of health and safety
- Have good customer service skills
- Show enthusiasm for creating engaging exhibitions and supporting artist's work
