Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for all operational and site aspects of transport for our Stafford Fulfilment Centre and its off-site partners. Maintaining an initiative-taking approach to risk management and adherence to site health & safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment. You will ensure the operation consistently meets the requirements of the business, in terms of quality, productivity, whilst taking care of daily and weekly operations reporting and key performance indicators management. Creating effective working relationships within Transport, to build a climate where colleagues feel valued and engaged.,

• Conduct colleague despatch and de-briefs.
• Cover the driver and airlock window, dealing with queries in a prompt and professional manner, escalating to the FLMs as and when required.
• Ensuring the daily equipment checks have been completed to the site standards.
• Managing equipment defects in line with process.
• Ensuring SLA is always met for all equipment servicing/MOT.
• Resource planning of core and agency colleagues in line with schedule requirements - Including allocation of colleague holidays/absence.
• To report all accidents and incidents and complete necessary reports.
• Consult with warehouse daily to understand loading position and assess any required changes to the daily schedule without jeopardising the service to stores.
• Ensure that safe working practices are always adhered to.
• Engaging with our 3PL's on any potential risk to store service through to resolution.
• Assist in ensuring all drivers are fully trained to perform their contractual duties and tasks effectively.
  
  A cheerful outlook with the ability to listen and be approachable and promote this through colleague engagement.
• Willing to receive training and perform duties in all areas of the operation.
• Knowledge and experience of materials handling equipment, together with relevant transport management systems and an appreciation of warehouse management systems.
• Knowledge and experience of managing service level agreements (SLA's) and KPI's.
• Knowledge and experience of resource planning management.
• Have an appreciation of budgets and can demonstrate initiative-taking cost control management.
• Energy and tenacity to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge and experience of tachograph, driving hours and the working time directive (WTD)

  £29,388.06, Days 4 on 4 off (12-hour shifts), Attractive rates of pay.
