Full Job Description

Pay Rate: £32,000 Grade: N Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) Shift patterns: Monday - Friday office hours Location: Location, including postcode DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management practices and a demonstrative understanding of storage and distribution procedures. WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

  • To strategically manage all warehouse, distribution and maintenance activities in line with DHL's policies and vision, monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of all functions, performance and productivity, ensuring safe and cost-effective methods are a priority consideration
  • To manage and implement the daily coordination of direct reports, ensuring that all schedules, regulations, records and working practices are up-to-date and in line with company policies and UK legislation, whilst maintaining excellent working practices and health & safety compliance across the business
  • To continuously review and evaluate warehouse policies, procedures, and systems to ensure that the site is operating at maximum efficiency and optimum level

  • Previous and practical experience on a similar level within a busy logistics environment

  • Analytical, with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
