Are you an experienced editor with an interest in lifestyle and premium magazines? We are seeking a qualified individual to become the next editor of Cumbria Life magazine. Cumbria Life magazine is a lifestyle publication that covers the culture, landscapes, and stories of Cumbria. The magazine is known for its high-quality local content and has a readership of 32,000 monthly readers, primarily female, affluent consumers. Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing the editorial process from concept to publication
- Managing and coordinating a team of writers, designers, and photographers
- Ensuring all content meets the highest standards of quality and relevance
- Collaborating with marketing and sales teams to align editorial content with business objectives
- Staying updated on industry trends and competitor publications
- Contributing to content planning and strategy
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Proven experience editing lifestyle or premium magazines
- Hold an NCTJ (National Council for the Training of Journalists) qualification
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
