Full Job Description
Lawford Surgery has an opportunity for a receptionist to join our team on a part-time basis for approximately 20-25 hours per week. There is more to our receptionist roles than answering the phone and making appointments. In this essential front-line role at the practice, receptionists help patients to access the right services, assist with keeping health records accurate and up-to-date, and ensure that appointment bookings are well-managed.,
- Greeting and directing all patients.
- Assisting GP with online triage.
- Making appointments face to face, online and via telephone.
- Accepting, issuing and handing out prescriptions, letters, completed forms, specimen bottles, etc.
- Dealing with requests for information, and patient enquiries.
- Advising patients of practice procedures.
- processing requests for new patient registrations.
- Answering the telephone, promptly.
Lawford Surgery is based in Manningtree, Essex. We are a semi-rural practice with approximately 4,700 patients. The successful candidate will join our nursing team and be supported by our principal GP, salaried GP and 2 regular locum GPs along with PCN clinical staff including a paramedic, clinical pharmacist and physiotherapist.
