Full Job Description
The successful applicant will have skills in specialist assessment, formulation, intervention and evaluation. They will also provide staff training, supervision, consultation, advice and support to the teams they are working within. It will be important for applicants to be aware of the latest evidence-based interventions and be able to evidence outcomes.
The South Bristol Assessment and Recovery Team works with adults with a broad range of severe and enduring mental health difficulties, including older adults, who are treated within the 'ageless' service. We particularly welcome applicants with a specialist interest and passion in working with older adults to develop our care pathways for this population. In addition to the responsibilities highlighted above, it is expected that the successful applicant will work closely with the later life multidisciplinary team (MDT) and have an awareness of the additional considerations working psychologically with this population.
Main duties of the job
1. To provide a clinical psychology service to the South Bristol Assessment and Recovery Team.
2. To assess and treat a specialist workload of clients and maintain associated records.
3. Participate in CPD and other developmental activities.
4. Undertake R & D and clinical audit.
5. Clinically supervise Trainee Clinical Psychologists, Assistant Psychologists and members of the Assessment and Recovery Team.
