An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Manager to join our growing team based in Bolton, United Kingdom. This is a local role for this office. Reporting to the Business Manager, the mission of the role is to support quality based decisions and actions of the senior management team both within and outside of product company Bolton through the conversion of management system data from an extensive range of sources into meaningful business information. To continually improve management systems at the Bolton site by identifying issues and working proactively within local and global teams to improve processes. To ensure that processes align with Atlas Copco global requirements, international standards and customer requirements. Main Responsibilities
- To drive the effective implementation and improvement of the Quality Document Management System at the Bolton site in line with Atlas Copco global requirements, international standards, and customer requirements.
- Maintain the site Internal Quality Audit programme in line with business risks and management systems requirements.
- Conduct Business Management System audits in line with the integrated audit plan ensuring follow up and support of interested parties to resolve any identified corrective actions.
- Take lead role in customer meetings as PC Bolton Quality Manager
- Maintain the execution of the site Quality Document management system contributing to the maintenance, upgrade, and development of quality control procedures in line with business, ISO and customer requirements
- Utilisation, implementation & deployment of necessary Quality tool and techniques to drive improvements to the effectiveness of the Quality Management System
- Develop and deliver Quality training / awareness sessions to relevant employees & management.
- Monitor and report on compliance status of our business to the QMS procedures and International standards.
- Project manage business improvement projects
Must be a good communicator and have excellent fluency in spoken and written English with the ability to explain complex issues in non-technical language - Coaching, listening and questioning skills with an open mind to consider other people's views when developing solutions
- Demonstrates strong self-awareness and self-regulation especially under times of pressure
- Customer, commercial awareness (preferred)
- High levels of self-motivation with the ability to manage projects and tasks through to completion
- Shows empathy when dealing with people who may be working in difficult situations
- Strong social skills with the ability to positively motivate others

- Current Member of Chartered Quality Institute (preferred)
- Able to demonstrate that they have remained technically competent through continued professional development
- A demonstrable track record of continuous improvement across various business functions
- At least five years recent experience in a Quality position within an ISO 9001, AS9100 or TS16949 certified organisation.
