Full Job Description
Group Procurement is a function within Schroders that reports to the Group Financial Controller. The function delivers commercial expertise to protect and maximise value across the full procurement lifecycle, supporting the delivery of Schroders'corporate strategy. Group Procurement has a global responsibility to provide oversight of Schroders'supply chain., This role will provide procurement support across the Group in order to maximise the long-term value from all that Schroders procures. This will involve supporting Procurement Managers in the identification and implementation of global procurement opportunities in a geographically dispersed environment with respect to supplier management, sourcing, systems, processes and reporting. The Procurement Analyst will support the Group Procurement Manager(s) to deliver their procurement, supplier oversight and reporting objectives. Based in our London office, responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Supporting Procurement Managers in the delivery of strategic sourcing, contract and supplier assurance, acting as first point of contact to triage stakeholder requirements and provide guidance in line with policies and processes.
- Data analytics to provide insights supporting our sourcing strategies and our internal and external reporting requirements, highlighting trends, challenges, issues and opportunities.
- Manage contract renewal cycles, engaging with Procurement Managers and stakeholders as required.
- Researching and understanding market trends to determine the appropriate approach to market, optimum commercial models and supplier relationships for a product/service.
- Assisting Procurement Managers in providing procurement services that deliver maximum commercial and strategic value to Schroders including selection and application of appropriate procurement processes for a particular product/service.
- Supporting Procurement Managers in the negotiation of appropriate commercial and contractual arrangements with suppliers for all products/services.
- Supporting Procurement Managers to identify, establish and maintain approved and preferred supplier lists, framework agreements, rate cards and product / service catalogues or suitable alternative sourcing methodologies as appropriate and suitable
- Championing continual improvement and procurement best practice within the global business.
- Contributing to the strategic goals of Procurement, Finance and Schroders.
Strong analytics experience in order to understand and interpret information, bringing insight. - Demonstrable experience operating in a supporting role
- Contract review and data capture to enable reporting and oversight.
- Flexible approach to work with an ability to adapt to change.
