Full Job Description
- Maintain proactive relationships with suppliers to resolve issues and support product development.
- Execute purchasing activities and act as a liaison between suppliers and plants.
- Address supplier-related shortages and identify supply base gaps for future projects.
- Integrate approved suppliers into new product development.
- Monitor and manage price changes, supporting cost improvements and reducing supply vulnerabilities.
- Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies.
Responsible for managing the overall sourcing activities around general purchasing, supplier relationship management, resourcing activities, development projects and engineering change orders in support of Global Supply Management goals and objectives. This individual will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where the ability to multi-task is essential., Extensive experience in Supply Chain with a track record of progressive responsibility - Working knowledge and understanding of ERP/MRP systems (SAP) and their use in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in numerical and cost accounting
- Deadline-oriented and self-motivated
- Methodical with excellent organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, APICS certification preferred.
- SAP E03 competent
- Ariba Procurement module user
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes
- Previous experience in a Buyer / Purchasing Role
